Every swing tells a story
Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf coach who loves helping people fall for this game. I teach golfers of every age and every level, from a child holding a club for the first time to a player chasing a lower handicap. Golf should feel fun, friendly and a little bit addictive — that’s how I like to teach.
A club with deep roots
De Noordhollandse GolfClub in Alkmaar has been welcoming golfers since 1982, which gives it the warm, settled feel of a club that has grown into its landscape over many years. You’ll find it on Sluispolderweg, in the green countryside on the edge of Alkmaar in the province of Noord-Holland.
It is a proper golf club with a real community spirit. There is a friendly clubhouse with a restaurant where you can relax after your round, and a pro shop for anything you need before you tee off. The club is affiliated with the NGF, the Dutch golf federation, so you know it keeps to good national standards. Visitors are warmly welcomed when introduced, and you can book your tee time online — easy and convenient.
What I love most about a place like this is how it cares for the next generation. De Noordhollandse GolfClub welcomes juniors and runs a junior programme, so young players have a real home to learn and grow. Lessons are available on site, and the club hosts group events too — perfect for families, friends, or a fun day out with colleagues.
Best for: juniors taking their first swings, families who want a friendly club to belong to, and golfers who enjoy a relaxed, community feel with a good clubhouse to round off the day.
