Hi, I am Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor based in Utrecht. I love how every golf course has its own character — a new green to read, a fresh fairway to enjoy, a quiet moment between shots. When my students discover a course they love, their game grows with them. Golf should feel like a small adventure each time you tee off.

A course with a name from the dunes

Duin & Kruidberg Golf sits in Santpoort-Noord, in the province of Noord-Holland. Its name carries the Dutch word duin — “dune” — and that already tells you something about this corner of the country, where the green landscape of North Holland meets the soft, rolling ground near the coast. It is a peaceful place to spend a morning with your clubs.

This is an 18-hole course, which gives you a full, satisfying round and plenty of room to enjoy your day. Eighteen holes is a lovely length: long enough to feel like a real journey across the land, with time to settle into your rhythm, try different clubs, and finish proud of how you played.

What I always tell my students is that a calm, green setting like this is wonderful for learning. When you feel relaxed, you swing more freely. You stop fighting the ball and start playing with it. A course where you can breathe, look around, and simply enjoy being outside is exactly the kind of place where good golf grows.

Best for players who love a real 18-hole round in the green heart of Noord-Holland — and for beginners and improving golfers who want a friendly, scenic spot to practise what they have learned. Bring a curious mind and a few good swings, and the rest follows.
