I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor, and I love helping people fall for this game. Golf gave me joy, focus and so many good days outdoors — and I get to pass that on to my students every week. Whether you have never held a club or you already play, I will meet you exactly where you are. Beginners, juniors, ladies, expats — everyone is welcome.

A course full of nature

Golf & Country Club Crossmoor sits in a beautiful corner of Weert, in the province of Limburg. The course winds through a historic forest-and-heathland landscape, so every round feels like a walk through nature. Open holes and sheltered, enclosed holes take turns, which keeps the play varied and full of surprises.

What makes Crossmoor special is its scenery. The course is framed by the Laurabos forest and the gently meandering Tungelroysche stream, and lovely water features come into play along the way. With 18 holes laid out in two loops, you get a real round of golf with plenty of room to enjoy the views and test your shots. It is a challenging layout, which makes a good score here feel truly earned — and that is part of the fun.

There is a lot to like off the course, too. A floodlit driving range lets you practice your swing even when the days grow short, and a short-game area is perfect for sharpening your chipping and pitching. There is a golf academy on site, plus a welcoming restaurant with a bar and terrace where you can relax after your round. Buggies and trolleys are available, and the comfortable lockers and showers round it all off.

Crossmoor is a friendly, open club. It welcomes visitors and is pay-and-play, so you can book your tee time online and simply come and play. It is open year-round and affiliated with the NGF. Best of all for new players, it is genuinely beginner-friendly: there is a short course to build your confidence, a junior program for young golfers, and warm support for ladies who want to get started. This is a lovely place to grow into the game step by step.

A course as natural and varied as Crossmoor rewards good, steady golf — and that is exactly what lessons give you. When your swing feels reliable, those alternating open and sheltered holes become a pleasure instead of a puzzle, and you spend less time searching for your ball and more time enjoying the forest and the water.

I teach at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and at Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen, and I would love to help you build a swing you can trust on any course. We work on the things that matter most — solid contact, a smooth tempo, and a short game that saves you shots — all at your own pace, in a relaxed and friendly way. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, so we will understand each other perfectly.
