Golf made simple

Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love this game because it gives you fresh air, good company, and a happy feeling when the ball flies just right. My job is to make that feeling easy to reach, whatever your age or level. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, so almost everyone feels at home with me.

A parkland charmer

Golf & Country Club Capelle sits in Capelle aan den IJssel, in the green heart of Zuid-Holland. The club opened its doors in 1977, so it has had many years to grow into a relaxed, welcoming place. This is a parkland course — that means soft grass, gentle trees, and a calm, leafy feeling as you walk from hole to hole. It is a lovely setting to spend a few hours outdoors.

With 18 holes, the course gives you a full, satisfying round. The layout invites you to think a little, place your shots, and enjoy the quiet rhythm of the game. Trees and open fairways take turns, so each hole feels a bit different and keeps you interested from start to finish.

What I really like about Capelle is how friendly it is to people who are still learning. It is a pay-and-play course, so you do not need a club membership to come and enjoy a round. Visitors are welcome, and you can book your tee time online — simple and stress-free. The club is also NGF-affiliated and open year-round, so there is always a good reason to come and play.

The practice facilities here are a real treat. There is a driving range with lights, so you can hit balls even as the evenings draw in. A putting green and a short-game area let you sharpen the parts of golf that win the most strokes — the chips and putts close to the hole. With a golf academy on site too, this is a place that genuinely helps players grow.

Families will feel especially at home. Juniors are welcome, and there is a junior program to help young players fall in love with the game. After your round, the restaurant, bar and terrace are a warm spot to relax, share a drink, and talk about that one great shot. Buggies and trolleys are there to rent, so the walking stays easy and fun.

Best for: beginners, juniors, and improving players who want a friendly, green course with everything they need to practice and grow.

Play it better with me

A beautiful course like Capelle is even more fun when your swing feels reliable. When your chips land soft and your putts find the hole, every round becomes a joy instead of a guessing game. That is exactly what a few good lessons can give you.

I teach at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and at Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen, and I welcome all ages and levels — children, adults, complete beginners, and players who simply want to take the next step. Together we build a swing you can trust, in simple steps and with a lot of fun along the way.

Wherever you tee it up, a little coaching makes a big difference. Book a lesson with me online, send me a WhatsApp, or just call — I would love to help you enjoy your golf even more. See you on the course!
