Golf that feels like a fresh start
Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf teacher based in Utrecht. I love helping people fall for this game — whether you have never held a club or you simply want your swing to feel easier and more reliable. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, and I welcome all ages and levels. My happiest moments are watching a nervous beginner laugh after their first clean shot.
A green heart escape
Golf Zeegersloot sits in the Groene Hart, the green heart of the Netherlands, right inside Zegerpark in Alphen aan den Rijn. It is a generous 27-hole parkland course, set out as three separate loops, so you can play a relaxed nine or a full round depending on your day and your energy.
What I love here is the calm, open polder feeling. The land is dotted with indigenous forest and nature-friendly banks, so birds and water are part of every round. The Griendbaan loop adds a little adventure with strategic water hazards and well-placed bunkers — the kind of holes that make you think before you swing. And the Heuvelbaan has a lovely surprise: one of its tees sits on one of the highest points in the Groene Hart, around 17 metres above sea level. For this flat part of the country, that small hill gives you a view, a breeze, and a real sense of occasion.
Because the loops are flexible and the layout is welcoming, Zeegersloot is wonderful for players who are still building confidence. There is a driving range to warm up, a golf academy on site, and a friendly clubhouse with a restaurant, bar and terrace where you can sit afterwards and enjoy the green surroundings. It is pay-and-play, visitors are warmly welcomed, and you can book your tee time online — easy and stress-free, all year round.
Best for: beginners and improving players who want space to learn, juniors and families, and expats looking for a calm, friendly course just a short drive west of Utrecht.

Play it better with a lesson

How do I get there from Utrecht, and is there a restaurant?
Golf Zeegersloot is at Kromme Aarweg 5 in Alphen aan den Rijn — about 31 minutes by car west of Utrecht into the Groene Hart. After your round you can relax in the clubhouse restaurant or on the bar terrace with views over the park.
