Golf inside a real forest
Golfbaan Haviksoord was built in 1976, and what makes it special is simple: the whole course was laid out inside an existing forest. The designers did not clear the woods and start fresh. They worked with the trees, following the natural land, so every hole feels like it has always belonged there. The result is a calm, green, natural character from the first tee to the last.
This is 18 holes of thoughtful golf near Leende in Noord-Brabant. It is a woodland course, and woodland courses ask a lovely question on every shot: where do I want my ball to land? Trees frame the fairways, so straight, honest golf is rewarded. It is challenging in the best way — not scary, but satisfying. Every good, accurate shot feels earned.
