Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor with a simple belief: golf should feel friendly from your very first swing. I teach players of every age and level — children, beginners, and golfers who want to sharpen their game — in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian. My goal is always the same: to help you enjoy this wonderful game and keep coming back for more.
A course with room to grow
Golfbaan Spaarnwoude sits at Het Hoge Land in Velsen-Zuid, in the green province of Noord-Holland. It is a large and generous place to play, with 27 holes spread across six loops, designed by the respected Dutch course architect Gerard Jol. That variety means you can mix and match your round, choosing a combination that fits your mood, your time, and your level.
What I love most about Spaarnwoude is how open and welcoming it is. It is a pay-and-play course, so you do not need a handicap or a club membership to step onto the grass — visitors are warmly welcome, and you can book your tee time online in just a few clicks. For anyone starting out, or for expats who are new to golf in the Netherlands, that easy access is a real gift.
The practice facilities here are excellent for learning. There is a floodlit driving range, so you can work on your swing even as the evenings draw in, plus a golf academy and a shorter course that is perfect for building confidence. After your round, the restaurant, bar and terrace are a lovely place to relax, and a pro shop, buggies, clubs and trolleys are all on hand. It is the kind of place where a beginner feels at ease and an improving player has everything needed to get better.
Because it is open year-round and so friendly to newcomers, Spaarnwoude is wonderful for beginners, juniors and families — exactly the kind of golfers I most love to teach.
