Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor based in Utrecht. I love helping people fall for this game — children, adults, complete beginners and players who want to sharpen up. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, so wherever you come from, you’ll feel right at home with me. Golf should be relaxed, friendly and fun, and that is exactly the spirit I bring to every lesson.

A friendly green escape

Golfclub Boschkens sits in the leafy countryside of Goirle, in the green heart of Noord-Brabant. It is a 9-hole course with a calm, natural feel — soft greens, gentle surroundings and plenty of fresh air. This is the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy the trees and simply play.

What I really love about Boschkens is how welcoming it is. It is a par-3 style course, which means the holes are shorter and friendlier than on a big championship layout. That makes it a wonderful spot to learn, to build confidence, and to practise the part of golf that decides most of your score: the approach shots and the short game around the green.

The club also gives you everything you need to improve. There is a driving range to warm up your full swing, a putting green to roll in a few practice putts, and a dedicated short-game area to fine-tune your chips and pitches. After your round you can relax at the restaurant and enjoy the quiet Brabant atmosphere. With pay-and-play access and a green fee from just €15, it is easy and affordable to come and enjoy a few holes.

Best for: beginners taking their very first steps, juniors, and improving players who want a relaxed, low-pressure place to play. Expats new to the Netherlands will love the friendly, easy-going feel here too.
