Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor based in Utrecht. I love showing people that golf is not as hard as it looks — it’s a game of small, happy steps. Whether you have never held a club or you want to shave shots off your score, my goal is the same: to make every lesson clear, fun and full of progress.
A warm Brabant welcome
Golfclub De Swinckels sits in the green countryside of Someren, in the heart of Noord-Brabant. It’s an 18-hole course laid out as two loops, so you have plenty of variety and room to find your rhythm as you play.
What I really like about De Swinckels is how complete it feels. There’s a driving range, a putting green and a dedicated short-game area with practice bunkers — exactly the kind of place where good habits are built. There’s even a short course, which is wonderful for newer golfers and juniors who want to enjoy the game without the pressure of a full round. An on-site academy means learning is part of the club’s DNA.
After your round or practice session, the clubhouse restaurant and the bar with its terrace are a lovely spot to relax. Buggies and trolleys are available, the club is NGF-affiliated, and visitors are welcome with easy online booking — so it’s simple to plan a visit.
De Swinckels is a friendly, well-rounded course that suits a wide range of players. Beginners have the space and the short course to grow into the game, improving golfers get serious practice facilities, and everyone gets that relaxed Brabant atmosphere.

Do I need a handicap or GVB card to play here?
Yes. De Swinckels is an introduction-access club affiliated with the NGF (Dutch Golf Federation), so a valid GVB proficiency certificate or handicap registration is required to play the 18-hole course. Visitors are welcome — just bring your NGF card and book online in advance.
