Golfclub De Vlietlanden (Wervershoof)

Review by Marina Romanik

Golf that feels like home

Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love the moment a nervous beginner suddenly swings with a smile — that first clean strike is magic. Whether you have never held a club or you play every week, I teach in a calm, friendly way, in Dutch, English, Ukrainian or Russian. Golf should be fun first.

A warm parkland welcome

Golfclub De Vlietlanden sits in the green countryside of Wervershoof, in Noord-Holland. It is a gentle parkland course — soft grass, open fairways and a friendly, relaxed feeling from the first tee. With 18 holes to enjoy, you get a full, satisfying round without ever feeling rushed.

What I like most here is how welcoming it is. The course is public, so visitors are warmly received, and you do not need a handicap card to come and play. That makes it a lovely place to start your golf journey or to simply enjoy an easy, happy day out.

The practice side is excellent too. There is a driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers — everything you need to warm up or to really work on your game. A pro shop, an on-site academy and a cosy restaurant round it all off, so you can shop, learn and relax in one place.

Best for: beginners and improving players who want a friendly, low-stress course, and families — with juniors welcome and a real junior program, it is a great spot for young golfers to grow.

Play better, smile more

A beautiful, welcoming course like De Vlietlanden is even more fun when your swing feels reliable. A few lessons can turn frustration into confidence — better contact, straighter shots and more of those magic moments on the green.

I teach all ages and every level, always at your own pace, at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen. Wherever you love to play, a little coaching goes a long way.
