Review by Marina Romanik

Hello, I am Marina Romanik, a PGA golf instructor who loves to share this game with everyone. I teach players of every age and level, in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian. My favourite moment is always the same: when a student takes a smooth swing and their whole face lights up. Golf should feel like fun, not hard work.
Golf Duinzicht sits in Wassenaar, tucked into the gentle dune landscape near the coast of Zuid-Holland. It is a friendly 9-hole course with a par of 29, which makes it a lovely place to play a quick, relaxed round without giving up a whole day. The dunes give the course its character: soft sandy ground, natural slopes, and that fresh, open air that makes a walk here feel good for the body and the mind.
A 9-hole layout like this is wonderful for so many golfers. Beginners can play the full course without feeling rushed or tired. Improving players get to practise their short game again and again, because a shorter course rewards clean iron play and a soft touch around the green. And busy people simply love it — you can pop in, play nine, and still have time for coffee afterwards.
The club keeps things welcoming and easy. There is a driving range to warm up and groove your swing, a cosy restaurant for a drink or a bite when you finish, and buggies and trolleys to rent if you prefer to ride or roll your bag. Lockers and showers are there too, so you always feel comfortable before and after your round. As an NGF-affiliated club, it keeps a proper, well-cared-for standard, and a handicap helps you make the most of your day on the course.
For me, a course like Golf Duinzicht is exactly the kind of place where golf becomes a happy habit. It is short enough to feel friendly, but full of the small challenges — the slopes, the greens, the dune breezes — that teach you to play with feel and confidence.

A course in the dunes is the perfect classroom. The natural shapes ask you to control your distance, read the green, and stay calm over each shot. With a few lessons, those nine holes start to feel like nine chances to shine instead of nine puzzles. I help you build a swing that repeats, a short game that saves strokes, and the kind of relaxed mindset that makes every round more fun.
Whether you are picking up a club for the very first time, returning after a long break, or polishing a game you already enjoy, a little coaching goes a long way. I teach beginners, juniors, and experienced players, and I always meet you exactly where you are — no pressure, just steady progress and plenty of smiles.
So wherever you tee it up, treat yourself to a few lessons and watch your scores and your confidence grow. Book a lesson with me, Marina Romanik — online, by WhatsApp, or with a quick call — and let’s make your golf more fun, one happy swing at a time.

The compact 9-hole, par-29 layout is wonderfully beginner-friendly — rounds are quick, the dune terrain is forgiving, and you can replay nine holes to practise without committing a full day. A driving range is available to warm up before you play.
The club has a driving range, buggy and trolley rental, lockers and showers, and a cosy restaurant — everything you need for a comfortable day out.
It is about 54 minutes by car from Utrecht, located near the dune coast in Wassenaar, Zuid-Holland — an easy day trip from the city.
