Golf with a smile
Hi, I am Marina Romanik, a PGA golf instructor who loves to share this game. To me golf is not about being perfect — it is about having fun, making small steps, and enjoying every round. I teach all ages and levels, in Dutch, English, Ukrainian or Russian, and I always keep it simple and friendly.
A course in wild nature
Golfclub Havelte sits in the beautiful southwest corner of Drenthe, between the villages of Havelte and Uffelte. The 18-hole heathland course was designed by Michiel van der Vaart and lies in some of the loveliest scenery you will find on a golf course.
All around you is the Holtingerveld nature area, with sheep grazing peacefully nearby. Ancient hunebedden — the famous prehistoric stone tombs of Drenthe — stand within walking distance. The course rolls along the Uffelterzand, where the land rises and falls in gentle slopes, and there is even a charming little Finnish lake to enjoy. Few rounds feel this close to nature.
On site you will find everything you need to grow your game: a driving range, a putting green, a short-game practice area, a golf academy, and a welcoming restaurant with a bar and terrace where you can relax after your round. The course is wheelchair accessible, too, so more people can enjoy it.
Havelte is a warm place for new golfers. With a golf academy, lessons on site, and a friendly junior programme, beginners and young players are made to feel at home. If you are starting out, improving your handicap, or an expat looking for a green and peaceful place to play, you will love it here.

Do I need a handicap to play at Golfclub Havelte?
Yes, a valid handicap (GVB or international equivalent) is required. Visitors are welcome with an introduction from a member — contact the club at [email protected] or call 0521-342200 to arrange your visit.
