Golfclub Heemskerk

Golf the friendly way

Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor with a simple belief: golf should feel welcoming from your very first swing. I teach all ages and levels — children, beginners, and players who want to get sharper — in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian. My job is to make the game click for you, so every round feels a little more like fun and a little less like work.

A green escape in Heemskerk

Golfclub Heemskerk sits in the green landscape of Heemskerk, in the province of Noord-Holland, and has been welcoming golfers since 1988. It is a parkland course — the gentle, leafy style where fairways wind between trees and open grass, and the views stay calm and pretty as you play. With 18 holes laid out across the grounds, there is plenty of room to find your rhythm and enjoy a full, satisfying day on the course.

This is a club that rewards thoughtful golf. It carries a championship character, which means the layout asks good questions of your game — exactly the kind of test that makes improving feel meaningful. Yet it stays friendly to newer players too: the course is beginner-friendly, there is a shorter practice route to build confidence, and juniors are truly welcome with their own junior program. Whether you are just starting out or chasing a lower score, there is a version of this course that fits you.

The facilities back up that warm spirit. There is a driving range to warm up and groove your swing, a putting green, a short-game area, and practice bunkers — everything you need to work on the parts of golf that lower scores the fastest. An on-site academy and lessons mean you can keep learning, and when the round is done there is a restaurant with a bar and terrace to relax, share stories, and watch others finish. Buggy and trolley rental make the day easy on your legs, so you can focus on enjoying every hole.

Best for: improving players who want a rewarding parkland test, plus beginners, juniors, and families who feel at home where good practice areas and a friendly clubhouse come together.

Play it with a little help

A beautiful, well-designed course like this is even more fun when your swing is doing what you want. A few lessons make a real difference: a steadier set-up, a more reliable strike, and a short game that saves you shots around the greens. That is exactly what I love teaching — small, clear changes that turn a tricky hole into a fun one.

Wherever you choose to play, a handful of focused lessons will sharpen your game and grow your confidence. I teach at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and at Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen, and I’d be glad to help you build skills you can take to any course — including a lovely parkland round at Heemskerk.

So bring your clubs and your good mood. Book a lesson with Marina Romanik — online, by WhatsApp, or with a quick call — and let’s make your golf more fun, one swing at a time. See you on the course!
