Golf & Country Club Hoenshuis

Golf with a smile

Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA golf instructor based in Utrecht. I love showing people that golf is for everyone — children, adults, beginners and players who already know their way around the course. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, always with patience and a big smile. My goal is simple: help you play better and have more fun doing it.

Where history meets golf

Golf & Country Club Hoenshuis sits in the rolling green countryside of Voerendaal, in the south of Limburg. The club opened in 1987 and carries a warm sense of history, taking its name from the stately Hoenshuis estate. The course was shaped by Baron Paul Rolin together with landscape designer Wiel Snelder, and was later lovingly renovated by Bruno Steensels, so the layout keeps growing more beautiful with time.

This is true parkland golf. You wind your way through mature trees and gentle slopes, with the soft hills of Limburg giving the views a special charm you don’t often find in the flatter parts of the Netherlands. At over 6,000 metres from the back, the course rewards a thoughtful, well-placed game — but it stays friendly and welcoming too.

What I love most is how complete this place feels. There’s a covered driving range, a putting green and a short-game area, so you can warm up properly and sharpen every part of your swing. A golf academy, a restaurant and a relaxed bar with a terrace make it easy to turn a round into a whole lovely day.

Best of all, Hoenshuis welcomes beginners and juniors with open arms. With a junior programme, lessons on site and group events, it’s a place where new players can grow with confidence and families can enjoy golf together.

Play better, enjoy more

A beautiful course like Hoenshuis becomes even more fun when your swing feels steady and your shots go where you want them. That’s exactly what a few good lessons can do — fewer worries, more smiles, and a real sense of progress every time you play.

Wherever you tee it up, I’d love to help you improve. Come and learn with me at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht or at Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen, where I teach players of every age and level. Book a lesson online, send me a WhatsApp, or just give me a call — let’s make your golf better together. See you on the course!
