Golf that feels like home
Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love helping people fall for this game — whether you have never held a club or you just want a smoother swing. My lessons are friendly, simple, and a little bit fun, in the language that suits you best: Dutch, English, Ukrainian or Russian.
A welcoming parkland course
Golfclub Hoogland Amersfoort sits in Hoogland, in the green heart of the Utrecht region. It is a parkland course — that means soft, leafy surroundings with trees, open fairways and a calm, natural feel. With nine holes, it is the perfect size: long enough for a satisfying round, short enough that you never feel rushed. You can play a relaxed loop and still have time for coffee on the terrace afterwards.
What I love most here is how easy it is to start. The course is pay-and-play and welcomes visitors, with online booking, so you can plan your golf around your day. It runs year-round, so there is always a reason to come out and play.
The practice facilities are excellent for learning. There is a covered driving range, so the weather never stops you, plus a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers. These are the places where real improvement happens — and where I love to teach. There is a golf academy on site, a restaurant and a friendly bar and terrace for after your round, with buggies and trolleys to rent if you want them.
Best for beginners and families
This is a wonderful course for new golfers, juniors and anyone building confidence. It is genuinely beginner-friendly, with a junior program, a ladies program and group events. If you are an expat looking for an easy, warm place to start golf near Utrecht, you will feel right at home here.
