Hello, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA golf instructor in Utrecht. What I love most about golf is the moment a player relaxes, swings freely, and watches the ball fly the way they hoped. I teach all ages and every level, in Dutch, English, Ukrainian or Russian. My promise is simple: golf should feel fun, friendly, and a little bit thrilling every time you play.

A heathland classic

Golfclub Toxandria sits in a quiet wooded area between Breda and Tilburg, in the village of Molenschot. The club opened in 1928, so it carries almost a century of golf history, and that long story is part of its charm.

The course was shaped by Harry S. Colt, one of the most respected golf course architects the game has ever known. Colt had a gift for letting a course follow the natural land, and you feel that here. The fairways roll gently over sandy soil and heathland, framed by trees, so every hole feels calm, green, and full of character. This is classic heathland golf: firm, natural ground that rewards a thoughtful round.

Toxandria is known as a course that asks good questions of your game. That makes it a wonderful place for improving players who want to test their skills and enjoy a layout with real personality. After your round, the terrace by the 18th green is the perfect spot to relax, look back over the course, and talk through your best shots.

The club welcomes visitors and is happy to see new faces, including juniors. With a junior program, lessons available on site, and a friendly clubhouse, it is the kind of place where young players and families feel at home.

Practice that pays off

One of my favorite things about Toxandria is how complete the practice options are. There is a covered driving range, so you can work on your swing in any weather, plus a putting green, a short-game area, and practice bunkers. For anyone who wants to truly improve, that mix is gold — full swings, chipping, and putting, all in one place. The club also has a pro shop, buggy and trolley rental, and a restaurant with a bar and terrace, so a day here is easy and comfortable from start to finish.

A course with this much heritage and design quality is even more enjoyable when your game feels solid. A few focused lessons can do wonders: a calmer swing, cleaner contact, smarter choices around the greens. That is exactly what I love to teach.
