Hi, I am Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I believe golf should feel friendly and fun from your very first swing. Whether you are brand new to the game, coming back after years away, or already playing and want to sharpen up, I love helping people enjoy their golf more. Every player is different, and that is exactly what makes teaching so rewarding.
A course steeped in history
Twentsche Golfclub has a wonderful story. It was founded back in 1926, which makes it one of the older golf clubs in the Netherlands — almost a century of golf in one beautiful place. The course sits on the historic Twickel estate, a grand old landscape near Delden in the green province of Overijssel.
What makes this setting special is the land itself. The course follows the natural rolls and gentle slopes of the estate, so it feels like it truly belongs there. The greens are known for being smooth and quick, which is a lovely test for your putting and a real pleasure once you learn to read them. With 18 holes to enjoy, there is plenty of room to play a full, relaxed round surrounded by mature trees and quiet nature.
Twentsche Golfclub also takes good care of its players. There is a driving range, a putting green, and a short-game area where you can warm up and work on the parts of golf that save the most shots. The club has its own golf academy, a friendly restaurant to enjoy after your round, and buggies and trolleys to rent so the day stays comfortable. Visitors are warmly welcome, you can book your tee time online, and the club is NGF-affiliated.
I especially like that this club is so welcoming to new and young players. There is a junior program and a shorter practice course, and lessons are available on site. That tells you a lot about the spirit of the place — it is a course that wants to help people grow into the game, not just show off for the experts. Beginners, juniors, and improving players will all feel at home here.

A course with quick greens and natural slopes, like the one on the Twickel estate, becomes so much more fun when your game is ready for it. A few good lessons can change everything — a steadier swing, smoother putting, and the calm confidence to enjoy every hole instead of worrying about it.
That is what I love to teach. I keep things simple, friendly, and clear, so the lesson sticks and you actually see the difference on the course. I teach all ages and all levels — children, adults, women and men, complete beginners and players who already have a handicap. And because I speak Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, you can learn in the language that feels most comfortable for you. Expats are always very welcome.

Do I need a handicap to play at Twentsche Golfclub?
Yes. Twentsche Golfclub is a members-with-introduction club that requires a valid handicap (GVB/NGF card). Visitors are warmly welcome, but please bring your handicap certificate and arrange an introduction through a member or by contacting the club in advance.

Twentsche Golfclub is at Almelosestraat 17, 7495 TG Ambt Delden, set on the historic Twickel estate near Delden in Overijssel. From Utrecht the drive is roughly 1 hour 50 minutes via the A1. Ample parking is available on site.
