Golf is for everyone
Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love this game because it welcomes everyone — children, grandparents, complete beginners and players chasing a lower handicap. My job is to make every lesson clear, relaxed and fun, in Dutch, English, Ukrainian or Russian. Golf should feel like a treat, never a test.
Green heart of the Veluwe
Golfclub Veluwse sits in Hoog Soeren, a peaceful little forest hamlet on the Veluwe in Gelderland. This is one of the most beautiful corners of the Netherlands — tall trees, quiet lanes and clean, fresh air all around you. Playing golf here feels a bit like a walk in the woods, with the game as your good excuse to be outside.
The club offers a full 18-hole course in this lovely green setting. You also get everything you need for a great day out: a driving range to warm up, a pro shop, and a welcoming clubhouse with a restaurant, a bar and a terrace where you can relax after your round. Buggies are available too, so the course stays comfortable for everyone.
What I really like about Golfclub Veluwse is its open heart for new and young players. There is a golf academy on site, lessons are available, and the club runs a real junior program — young golfers are genuinely welcome here. It is also a friendly place for groups and events, so you can bring friends, family or colleagues and enjoy the game together. Visitors are welcome (with a handicap and a small introduction), and you can book your tee time online, which makes planning easy.
For learners, this calm woodland course is a kind place to grow. The quiet surroundings help you focus, and the practice facilities give you space to build a steady, confident swing before you head out among the trees.
