Golf made simple and fun
Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love helping people fall for this game — children, adults, complete beginners and players who want to sharpen up. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, so wherever you come from, we will understand each other on the first tee.
A relaxed parkland round
Golfclub Westerpark sits in Zoetermeer, right in the heart of the Randstad between The Hague and Rotterdam, yet it feels wonderfully calm. The course is open and green, with polder and park holes, pretty water features and gentle changes in height that keep each hole interesting. It is laid out as two nine-hole loops, so you can play a quick nine or go around for the full eighteen.
What I really like about Westerpark is how welcoming it is. You can play here without a handicap card — it is pay-and-play — so you simply book online and go. There is a driving range, a putting green and a short-game area to warm up, a friendly clubhouse with a restaurant and terrace, and an on-site academy. With a ladies programme and an easy, beginner-friendly feel, this is a lovely place to start golf or to enjoy a low-pressure round with friends.
Best for: beginners, ladies’ groups and anyone who wants an easy-access, good-value round in a green, peaceful setting close to the city.
