A warm welcome to the game

Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor based in Utrecht. I love showing people that golf is friendly, fun and for everyone — children, adults, beginners and players who simply want to get better. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, so wherever you come from, you will feel at home. When a course has real history and character, I get excited to share it with my students.

A course with deep roots

The Hilversumsche Golf Club is one of the true grand old names of Dutch golf. It was founded all the way back in 1895, which makes it one of the oldest golf clubs in the Netherlands. Think about that for a moment: golfers have been walking these fairways for well over a century. That kind of history gives a course a special feeling — a sense of tradition, calm and quiet pride that you notice the moment you arrive.

Set near Hilversum, in the green heart of the country, this is a classic 18-hole course. A full 18 holes gives you the complete golf experience: room to plan your round, to enjoy the rhythm of the game, and to feel real progress from the first tee to the last green. The peaceful, leafy surroundings of the Hilversum area make every round feel like a little escape from busy daily life.

So who will love it here? Honestly, almost everyone. Players who appreciate heritage and a timeless atmosphere will feel right at home. Improving golfers will enjoy the challenge of a proper 18-hole layout. And for newer players and expats discovering Dutch golf, there is something wonderful about learning the game on a course with such a long and proud story behind it.

Play it better with a few lessons

A beautiful, historic course like this is even more enjoyable when you feel confident with your clubs in hand. That is exactly what I love to help with. A few friendly lessons can do wonders — a steadier swing, smarter choices around the green, and far less worry about where the ball is going. When the basics feel easy, you stop thinking about technique and simply enjoy the walk, the views and the game.

Whether you are picking up a club for the very first time or polishing skills you already have, I would love to help you play with more joy and confidence. Come and learn with me — book a golf lesson with Marina Romanik, and let’s make your golf more fun, one happy round at a time.
