Where good golf begins

Hello, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love seeing the moment a player relaxes, swings freely, and watches the ball fly the way they hoped. Golf should feel fun, not stressful — and with the right little adjustments, it can. That joy is what I bring to every lesson, for every age and every level.

A century in the dunes

Kennemer Golf & Country Club sits in the natural dune landscape near Zandvoort, in Noord-Holland, and it carries more than a hundred years of Dutch golfing history. The club was founded in 1910, and its famous links were shaped by the great course architect Harry S. Colt in 1927, with a further loop designed by Frank Pennink in 1985. That heritage is part of what makes a round here feel special.

Today Kennemer offers 27 holes across three loops, a par-72 layout running to around 5,782 metres. This is true links golf: rolling, open ground among the dunes, with the fresh sea air that gives coastal courses their unmistakable character. The club is also GEO certified for its sustainable management, and the dunes are wonderfully alive — more than 540 species of animals, plants and fungi have been recorded on site. You really are playing through nature here.

It is a championship course, designed to test and reward skilled golfers. Add a driving range, a putting green, a full golf academy, and a welcoming restaurant, and you have a place where a serious day of golf becomes a memorable one.

Best for improving and experienced players who want to enjoy classic links golf and a piece of Dutch golfing tradition. If you’re newer to the game, think of Kennemer as a beautiful goal to play toward — a course worth getting your handicap and confidence ready for.
