The crown jewel of Dutch golf
If one course in the Netherlands deserves the title “most beautiful,” it’s the Koninklijke Haagsche. Set in the scenic dunes of Wassenaar, it combines breathtaking natural scenery with a design that delights players of every level. Often hailed as a masterpiece, it’s a must-visit for every golf lover.
A little history
Established in 1893, Koninklijke Haagsche is the oldest golf club in the Netherlands. The current 18-hole course, designed by Harry Colt and Charles Alison in 1938, has a timeless charm — a classic layout woven seamlessly into the surrounding dunes, as much a celebration of nature as of great architecture. Nestled among rolling dunes near the North Sea, the course offers a setting unlike any other. Wind, sand and vegetation create an ever-changing landscape — serene yet invigorating — that blends beautifully into its environment.
