Colt’s dunes near Wassenaar
The Koninklijke Haagsche Golf & Country Club plays through the Meijendel dune landscape near Wassenaar, in Zuid-Holland. The club traces its course to 1893 and credits the design to Harry S. Colt, whose firm Colt, Alison & Morrison shaped the 18 holes, par 72, across the dunes. From the club’s own description, every hole opens a completely different view and a fresh challenge — the ground itself does much of the work, rising and falling with the sand.
