Golf Amsteldijk (Amstelveen)

Golf Amsteldijk

Golf made friendly

Hi, I’m Marina Romanik, a PGA-certified golf instructor. I love helping people fall in love with golf — from the very first swing to the day a tricky shot finally clicks. I teach in Dutch, English, Ukrainian and Russian, and I welcome every age and level. Wherever you play, my goal is the same: make golf simple, relaxed and fun.

A welcoming 9 holes

Golf Amsteldijk, also known as Land van Aemstel Golf, sits in the green polder landscape of Amstelveen. It opened in 2012, designed by Allen Rijks, and quickly became a friendly, easy-going place to play.

This is a 9-hole parkland course with a par of 34 and a length of about 2,600 metres. The holes wind through soft, open Dutch countryside — the kind of calm, leafy setting that makes a round feel like a little escape. The course plays at a moderate level, so it rewards good shots without overwhelming you.

What I especially like here is how open and welcoming it is. It’s a pay-and-play course, with no handicap required and visitors always welcome. You can book your tee time online, play all year round, and there’s plenty of parking. After your round, the restaurant, bar and terrace are a lovely spot to relax.

The practice options are excellent for learning, too. There’s a covered driving range, a short-game area and practice bunkers — everything you need to warm up or work on your weak spots. A golf academy and lessons are available on site, and there’s a real focus on newcomers: it’s genuinely beginner-friendly, with a junior program that makes it a great choice for kids and families.

Best for: beginners taking their first steps, juniors and families, and improving players who want a relaxed 9-hole round close to Amsterdam. For visitors staying in the Utrecht area, it’s roughly a half-hour drive away.

Play it better with me

A welcoming course like Golf Amsteldijk is the perfect place to enjoy golf — and a few good lessons make it even more rewarding. When your setup, grip and swing feel natural, the whole round becomes more fun, and those 9 holes start to feel easy and satisfying.

Whether you’re brand new to the game, returning after a break, or simply want more consistency, I’d love to help. I teach in a calm, encouraging way, in the language you’re most comfortable with, and I tailor every lesson to you.
