A course with deep roots
Twentsche Golfclub was founded in 1926, which makes it one of the older clubs in the Netherlands. It sits on the historic Twickel estate, and you can feel that heritage in every fairway. This is classic parkland golf — gentle natural rolls in the land, mature trees, and greens that run fast and true. Eighteen holes wind through the landscape, and the club counts it among the more challenging rounds in the region, so your good shots really feel earned here.
For learners this is a wonderful place to grow into. There is a driving range, a putting green, a short-game area, and a proper golf academy on site, so you can warm up and work on your weak spots before you play. Juniors are very welcome too, with an active junior programme and a shorter practice course where young players build confidence step by step. After your round, the restaurant is a nice place to sit and talk about the holes you loved.
If you enjoy courses that reward patience and a smart plan over pure power, Twentsche will suit you beautifully. Fast greens teach you to read the land — and that is a skill you carry to every other course you play.

Play it with more confidence
A course like this is most fun when your swing feels ready for it. Those quick greens and rolling parkland holes ask for good touch around the green and a calm, repeatable swing — exactly the things we build together in a lesson.

Do I need a handicap to play at Twentsche Golfclub?
Yes. Twentsche Golfclub is a members-with-introduction club and requires a valid handicap (GVB/NGF card). Visitors are warmly welcome — arrange an introduction through a member or contact the club in advance, and bring your handicap certificate on the day.

Is Twentsche Golfclub good for juniors or developing players?
Very much so. The club has an active junior programme, a shorter practice course for building confidence, and a full golf academy with lessons on site. The 18-hole parkland course itself is rated challenging, so a few lessons beforehand will make your round even more enjoyable.
Where is the club and is there parking?
Twentsche Golfclub is at Almelosestraat 17, 7495 TG Ambt Delden, set on the historic Twickel estate near Delden in Overijssel. From Utrecht the drive is roughly 1 hour 50 minutes via the A1. Parking is available on site.
